Cloud Atlas (2012): No Spoiler Review

I was not prepared. Words that many World of Warcraft players would find funny given they are a variation of the infamous character among WoW fans Illidan Stormrage. But it is true. I was not prepared at all. I started watching Cloud Atlas as one other movie for Tom Hanks, one that is probably going to be good but not as good as the ones that got all the hype when they were released. But I was definitely surprised and unable to get out of my seat and away from my screen. This is one of those movies that is so hard to describe and review without spoilers. However, it is also one that is impossible to describe and review with the use of so many spoilers, if any at all. Every actor/actress in this movie has portrayed multiple characters. Tom Hanks for starters did a great performance with every single character he portrayed from distant future Zachry to 70s scientist Isaac Sachs among 6 roles he portrayed in the movie out of which 4 were major and 2 although minor ...

Bridge of Spies (2015): Review (May Contain Spoilers)

Standing there like that you reminded me of the man that used to come to our house when I was young. My father used to say: "watch this man'. So I did. Every time he came. And never once did he do anything remarkable. The words of Rudolf Abel in one of the most epic conversations between him and James Donovan as part of One hundred and forty minutes of Tom Hanks as James Donovan, One hundred and forty minutes of  Mark Rylance as Rudolf Abel, One hundred and forty minutes of classic, epic, awesome acting, awesome story and last but not least of great entertainment. Dozens of them. My father was beaten, my mother was beaten, and this man, my father's friend, he was beaten. And I watched this man. Every time they hit him, he stood back up again. So they hit him harder. Stil...

The latest episode of American Gothic actually managed to make things a bit better, in fact just when it seemed like it was hitting rock bottom, the show improved by a lot rather than a bit. The most recent episode gave us a closer glimpse at Garrett's character, who he was and what he is like. He is still a little bit enigmatic seeing as to how the show did not tell us who he killed as a teenager. However, it did give us a great insight on where he grew up between leaving his family and coming back fourteen years later after Tessa called him with news about his hospitalized father. The episode guest starred M.C. Gainey whom we probably all remember as Tom/Mr. Friendly on Lost. The actor did a very good job in portraying the friend and companion of Garrett's journey away from his family. As Garrett is now in jail and awaiting trial for being the partner to one Silver Bells Killer we see him flashback to relationships with his entire family, how he left and how he came ...
