It is just too hard to review this movie and do it justice without at least minor spoilers in the mix. The movie is so amazing yet so hard to describe in vague words. For starters the performances of both Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike were just great. I have only seen the latter in Jack Reacher before watching this movie and in my opinion she did well there but just the way she portrayed her role here was amazing. The writing of course is as close to flawless as it could get and even though I haven't read the novel I have come to know from others who did that it is as good as the movie so it is easy to understand how the movie script came to be so well written. Throughout the first half of the movie we briefly get a rundown of how Pike and Affleck's characters came to get married and then it is a roller-coaster ride from there.
