More on Arrow & Legends of Tomorrow

The news on fan favorite DC comics based Arrowverse or Flarrowverse or whatever you want to call it, keeps flooding.

There has been lots of information on the CW superhero shows based on DC comic-books that I have discussed in previous posts and now we have new ones that I am about to discuss.

Arrow

We might have already stated that the flashbacks of the fifth season will end an era for Arrow considering that they will highlight the events of the last year before Oliver Queen went  back to Starling City after being lost and deemed dead for five years.

We also know that the seasons to follow the show's fifth will look at the flashbacks of other characters and might include flashforwards into the future of the characters and specifically Oliver Queen.

What some might not realize is that the producers seemed to be making this clarification among others to make sure the fans who voiced their opinions usually under the title, 'Make Arrow Great Again' would know that their voices have been heard.

The season will also take us back to more hand to hand combat villains rather than a villain like Damien Darhk. The thing about Damien Darhk is that while Neal McDonough did a solid role as the leader of H.I.V.E. his character didn't suit a show based mostly on a bow and an arrow especially when you consider the magical powers he possessed.

Another thing here is that the show will go in the direction of not just having Arrow deal with a villain, namely Prometheus (who I will be posting comic book details about later today or tomorrow). Oliver Queen will also have to deal with the fact that he has new vigilantes popping all over the city.

Echo Kellum (playing Curtis Holt) will now be a series regular on Arrow.

“I can’t tell you how many people I’ve talked to about the possibility and how it could possibly happen. It’s not out of the realm of possibility.”
These were the words of actor Colin Donnell when asked about the character he portrayed in Season 1 of Arrow, Tommy Merlyn and whether the Flashpoint could bring him back on Arrow and he would never have died saving Laurel in the Glades. So, let's just say there is that possibility and hope it is true. This would be one of those things that would shake the show up a bit, even though I would assume fixing the Flashpoint on the flash sometime during the season would probably take Tommy away again.

Legends of Tomorrow

It seems like fans of John Constantine might actually be getting what they want. The chance of a second season for the series that got cancelled on a rival network might be slim but a cameo appearance or more might be in the works on Legends of Tomorrow.

Phil Klemmer, Legend of Tomorrow Executive Producer said in an interview commenting about the appearance of the character on Legends:

“If this show goes as many seasons as I hope it does, it would be a crime for him not to appear in our universe.”

Cloud Atlas (2012): No Spoiler Review

I was not prepared. Words that many World of Warcraft players would find funny given they are a variation of the infamous character among WoW fans Illidan Stormrage. But it is true. I was not prepared at all. I started watching Cloud Atlas as one other movie for Tom Hanks, one that is probably going to be good but not as good as the ones that got all the hype when they were released. But I was definitely surprised and unable to get out of my seat and away from my screen. This is one of those movies that is so hard to describe and review without spoilers. However, it is also one that is impossible to describe and review with the use of so many spoilers, if any at all. Every actor/actress in this movie has portrayed multiple characters. Tom Hanks for starters did a great performance with every single character he portrayed from distant future Zachry to 70s scientist Isaac Sachs among 6 roles he portrayed in the movie out of which 4 were major and 2 although minor ...

Bridge of Spies (2015): Review (May Contain Spoilers)

Standing there like that you reminded me of the man that used to come to our house when I was young. My father used to say: "watch this man'. So I did. Every time he came. And never once did he do anything remarkable. The words of Rudolf Abel in one of the most epic conversations between him and James Donovan as part of One hundred and forty minutes of Tom Hanks as James Donovan, One hundred and forty minutes of  Mark Rylance as Rudolf Abel, One hundred and forty minutes of classic, epic, awesome acting, awesome story and last but not least of great entertainment. The conversation continues when Donovan responds: And I remind you of him? To which Abel responds: This one time, I was at the age of your son, our house was overrun by partisan border guards. Dozens of them. My father was beaten, my mother was beaten, and this man, my father's friend, he was beaten. And I watched this man. Every time they hit him, he stood back up again. So they hit him harder. Stil...

American Gothic - Season 1 Episode 9: Spoiler Review

The latest episode of American Gothic actually managed to make things a bit better, in fact just when it seemed like it was hitting rock bottom, the show improved by a lot rather than a bit. The most recent episode gave us a closer glimpse at Garrett's character, who he was and what he is like. He is still a little bit enigmatic seeing as to how the show did not tell us who he killed as a teenager. However, it did give us a great insight on where he grew up between leaving his family and coming back fourteen years later after Tessa called him with news about his hospitalized father. The episode guest starred M.C. Gainey whom we probably all remember as Tom/Mr. Friendly on Lost. The actor did a very good job in portraying the friend and companion of Garrett's journey away from his family. As Garrett is now in jail and awaiting trial for being the partner to one Silver Bells Killer we see him flashback to relationships with his entire family, how he left and how he came ...
