Supergirl: Who is Megan Morse?

The last on the roster of new characters on Supergirl that we need to introduce from a comics perspective is the one and only Miss Martian.

The lady in question is a White Martian whose name is M'gann M'orzz. Initially she pretended to be a Green Martian like the Martian Manhunter (J'onn J'onzz) who is portrayed on the series by David Harewood.

She ended up on earth after being sent on a rocket out of Mars to the Vega system to escape the civil war between the White and Green Martians. The timing of her arrival on Earth is not clearly defined in the comics.

Miss Martian is introduced in the comics after J'onn J'onzz befriends Till'All, a White Martian whom J'onn introduces to the Justice League.

As a superhero Miss Martian possesses abilities just like those of the Martian Manhunter and any other Martian for that matter. She has superhuman strength and stamina superior to that of Kryptonians. She is very invulnerable and can enhance this invulnerability by making herself super dense. She also possesses the abilities of invisibility, intangibility, telepathy and telekinesis, the latter having many uses including flight.

Miss Martian will be portrayed on the DC/CW series by actress Sharon Leal. Supergril is set to return to the CW with all new episodes this October.
