Now You See Me 2 (2016): Movie Review & Trailer

It is definitely nothing like the first movie but it is still pretty good. The sequel takes most of the stars of the first movie, except for Isla Fisher who is replaced by a new horseman played by Lizzy Caplan.

In the sequel, we meet the three of our four horsemen ( four less one Isla Fisher), one year after the events of the first movie, all in hiding and awaiting instructions from the eye, a secret society of magicians they have been recruited into. Atlas (Eisenberg) who grow tired of waiting seeks the eye himself.

The events build up from there as Lula is approved to become the fourth horseman now that Henley is gone until we end up meeting Chase, the twin brother or Merritt (Harrelson) whom he describes as the man who at some point in his life cheated him out of everything.

We then meet the antagonist of the movie and Chase's employer, Walter Mabry (Daniel Radcliffe). The powerful man that Walter is coerces the Horsemen into stealing for him.

And in a mostly similar manner to the first movie, the movie proceeds. We still meet most of the good old main characters like Dylan Rhodes (Mark Ruffalo), Thaddeus Bradley (Morgan Freeman) and Arthur Tressler (Michael Caine), some more than others.

The acting put into the Four Horsemen's characters was great. Jesse Eisenberg's acting in specific is as usual top notch and is will continue to take his career to great places.Woody Harrelson of course doesn't need my praises cause for a man who has for the majority of his life been cast in either secondary roles or as one of many leads and never a solo lead, he did and forever will leave a great impression on the movie industry.

Lizzy Caplan makes a great edition to the movie. All the stars in general just did a great job. However, maybe, just maybe because I have never been a fan of Daniel Radcliffe, I was not so impressed with his performance. Don't get me wrong, he does give the impression of an extremely bad guy at moments, but I was just not so convinced all the way through. That is my only take on the movie, I just wish they cast someone else for the role.

But all in all, the movie is pretty decent and worth watching. I would rate it a six out of ten.

In all cases you can decide for yourselves whether you want to watch the movie or not, checkout the movie trailer:

Cloud Atlas (2012): No Spoiler Review

I was not prepared. Words that many World of Warcraft players would find funny given they are a variation of the infamous character among WoW fans Illidan Stormrage. But it is true. I was not prepared at all. I started watching Cloud Atlas as one other movie for Tom Hanks, one that is probably going to be good but not as good as the ones that got all the hype when they were released. But I was definitely surprised and unable to get out of my seat and away from my screen. This is one of those movies that is so hard to describe and review without spoilers. However, it is also one that is impossible to describe and review with the use of so many spoilers, if any at all. Every actor/actress in this movie has portrayed multiple characters. Tom Hanks for starters did a great performance with every single character he portrayed from distant future Zachry to 70s scientist Isaac Sachs among 6 roles he portrayed in the movie out of which 4 were major and 2 although minor ...

Bridge of Spies (2015): Review (May Contain Spoilers)

Standing there like that you reminded me of the man that used to come to our house when I was young. My father used to say: "watch this man'. So I did. Every time he came. And never once did he do anything remarkable. The words of Rudolf Abel in one of the most epic conversations between him and James Donovan as part of One hundred and forty minutes of Tom Hanks as James Donovan, One hundred and forty minutes of  Mark Rylance as Rudolf Abel, One hundred and forty minutes of classic, epic, awesome acting, awesome story and last but not least of great entertainment. The conversation continues when Donovan responds: And I remind you of him? To which Abel responds: This one time, I was at the age of your son, our house was overrun by partisan border guards. Dozens of them. My father was beaten, my mother was beaten, and this man, my father's friend, he was beaten. And I watched this man. Every time they hit him, he stood back up again. So they hit him harder. Stil...

American Gothic - Season 1 Episode 9: Spoiler Review

The latest episode of American Gothic actually managed to make things a bit better, in fact just when it seemed like it was hitting rock bottom, the show improved by a lot rather than a bit. The most recent episode gave us a closer glimpse at Garrett's character, who he was and what he is like. He is still a little bit enigmatic seeing as to how the show did not tell us who he killed as a teenager. However, it did give us a great insight on where he grew up between leaving his family and coming back fourteen years later after Tessa called him with news about his hospitalized father. The episode guest starred M.C. Gainey whom we probably all remember as Tom/Mr. Friendly on Lost. The actor did a very good job in portraying the friend and companion of Garrett's journey away from his family. As Garrett is now in jail and awaiting trial for being the partner to one Silver Bells Killer we see him flashback to relationships with his entire family, how he left and how he came ...
