Review Mania on YouTube: The Flash New Teaser Trailer + Breakdown

Will Green Lantern Ever Make It To The Arrow-Verse

At the end of its third season, Arrow teased the fans with the ship Oliver boarded to Coast City. Then we watched him as Amanda Waller pulled him out of the city as early as the beginning of the fourth season taking him back to the island of Lian Yu as part of an A.R.G.U.S. mission. We all hate Waller for that. This wasn't the first time Coast City was teased Detective McKenna Hall relocated to Coast City for treatment before that in the main timeline after being shot by the Huntress, Helena Bertinelli causing her temporary paralysis. Coast City also got a couple of mentions on the Flash. Barry used his speed to buy his friends some Coast City Pizza. One the Flash as well we had a relocation to Coast City by Linda Park after she almost died at the hands of Zoom during the show's second season. But more importantly after seeing Arrow boarding the boat to Coast City news flooded about the casting of Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris. The names of the cast members were righ

Review Mania on YouTube: Green Lantern, Arrow and Susan Williams

We Return Tomorrow

So I have been busy all day Today preparing a video about the Green Lantern, Arrow casting Carly Pope as Susan Williams last June and whether or not the Green Lantern could ever show in the Arrow-Verse. I am also going to be preparing a blog post about the same topic and putting it up tomorrow after I am done editing and uploading the video, for those more interested in reading it rather than hearing it, or for those who would hate my awful voice. But all in all I am very excited for my first video and I hope it is worth watching. I'LL BE BACK.

Review Mania Trailer

Going to actually go through with it.

My Video Blog

So while I am really enjoying the idea of this blog and I plan to continue working on it, I am debating starting a Video Log or in other words a YouTube channel that will provide for: 1. An alternative to the written show reviews for those not very interested in reading an entire article about an episode review, or a show review. 2. An alternative to having all the news we get to add continuously in written format. 3. Sometimes a quick way to do things would be preparing a quick video and then writing about it later. Talking usually goes faster than typing. However, let's take 'The Flash' TV series as an example. I might end up reviewing the episode of a given week only in a blog post or a video if my time is limited and I just couldn't do both. I would still post the video to my blog in all cases. The question is: Does anyone think this is a good idea. Please share you opinion in the comments section, on my Google+ page, my Facebook page or via twe

Arrow & The Flash: More News & Speculations

Two more pieces of the puzzle of what we should expect on the upcoming season and maybe seasons of 'Arrow' & ''The Flash' have come to surface. Let's check them out one by one: ARROW So we know one more thing about Arrow and specifically about Human Target. As per the latest news, Human Target will be helping Oliver and specifically Mayor Oliver Queen. The role is currently known to be non-recurring and hence so far we know he will only appear for a single episode, the fifth episode of the upcoming season. Based on this piece of news and what we know about Human Target in the comics I am assuming Human Target won't know Oliver is the Arrow. There are two scenarios here on how this would work: Scenario 1 Mayor Queen realizes there is a danger coming his way that he can only deal with as the Green Arrow. But in order to deal with it he needs to lure his enemies while he is the mayor and still be in the room as Arrow. In order to achieve that

Frequency: The Movie & The Series

Have you ever watched the movie ' Frequency '? Before you read ahead be warned of minor spoilers. Well if you haven't then you have missed a lot. The movie that released in April of 2000 and starred Jim Caviezel (Person of Interest), Dennis Quaid and Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost) was pretty great in so many ways. The story was new and different and the acting of the two lead actors, Caviezel and Quaid was just great, Caviezel more than Quaid in my opinion. The Movie John Sullivan (Caviezel) who still mourned the death of his father thirty years prior to the events of the movie, still lives in the house where he grew up. One of these days he starts messing around with his father's old radio and begins transmission. Due to you know Sci-Fi stuff, he makes contact with his father exactly 30 years prior to that night, one day before the death of his father. After denial on both sides, more on the side of the father they both realize whatever communication they hav

Now You See Me 2 (2016): Movie Review & Trailer

It is definitely nothing like the first movie but it is still pretty good. The sequel takes most of the stars of the first movie, except for Isla Fisher who is replaced by a new horseman played by Lizzy Caplan. In the sequel, we meet the three of our four horsemen ( four less one Isla Fisher), one year after the events of the first movie, all in hiding and awaiting instructions from the eye, a secret society of magicians they have been recruited into. Atlas (Eisenberg) who grow tired of waiting seeks the eye himself. The events build up from there as Lula is approved to become the fourth horseman now that Henley is gone until we end up meeting Chase, the twin brother or Merritt (Harrelson) whom he describes as the man who at some point in his life cheated him out of everything. We then meet the antagonist of the movie and Chase's employer, Walter Mabry (Daniel Radcliffe). The powerful man that Walter is coerces the Horsemen into stealing for him. And in a mostly si

The Flash: Magneta Incoming

Another villain has been added to The Flash's TV rogue gallery. The Fargo actress, Joey King has been cast in the role of Frances 'Frankie' Kane a.k.a. Magneta. She has been identified as a teen with a troubled past and a meta-human with an ability to control metal. The downside to her ability though is how its use causes her villainous alter ego, Magneta to emerge and take over the young teen. The actress will be making her debut on the show on its third episode and whether or not she will be appearing in more than that one episode is yet to be seen. The flash has been adding many members of the supervillain team known in the comics as the Rogues. Dr. Alchemy, a major villain this season and Mirror Master who is more of a minor villain are both going to be showing up this season as well and both of them were members of the Rogues team at some point. In the Comics Francis Kane is introduced as a childhood friend of Wally West who uncovers her powers when she

Arrow Casts Human Target

Will Simpson, the character on Marvel's Jessica Jones that aired on Netflix last year was and if you don't remember him the police officer Trish Walker (portrayed by Rachel Taylor) had a relationship with during the first season before he went all crazy after using combat enhancers that gave him temporary superhuman strength. The actor who portrayed the role Will Traval will now move to rival DC Comics to portray the role of Christopher Chance a.k.a. Human Target on the upcoming season of Arrow. In the comic books Human Target has been the name used by two different characters. The first is, Fred Venable while the second is Christopher Chance, the character we will be seeing on Arrow. You might know Chance, if you have happened to watch the two season series of the 2010 show names after the character, Human Target, with starred Mark Valley in the title role and ran for a total of 25 episodes.  In the Comics Human target, originally appeared in main stream DC comi

American Gothic - Season 1 Episode 9: Spoiler Review

The latest episode of American Gothic actually managed to make things a bit better, in fact just when it seemed like it was hitting rock bottom, the show improved by a lot rather than a bit. The most recent episode gave us a closer glimpse at Garrett's character, who he was and what he is like. He is still a little bit enigmatic seeing as to how the show did not tell us who he killed as a teenager. However, it did give us a great insight on where he grew up between leaving his family and coming back fourteen years later after Tessa called him with news about his hospitalized father. The episode guest starred M.C. Gainey whom we probably all remember as Tom/Mr. Friendly on Lost. The actor did a very good job in portraying the friend and companion of Garrett's journey away from his family. As Garrett is now in jail and awaiting trial for being the partner to one Silver Bells Killer we see him flashback to relationships with his entire family, how he left and how he came

Now, while she navigates her normal, everyday life against an explosive backdrop, Emily might just discover that being a hero doesn’t always require superpowers.

Suicide Squad: No Spoiler Review

The Suicide Squad Rides Again Those were the words of Deadshot on CW's Arrow on the seventeenth episode of its third season. The team from the series isn't exactly composed of the same players as the movie which I just watched and pretty much loved. First off, seeing a rating of 6.8/10 on IMDb for the movie got me to lower my expectations enough to be surprised. I would have given it around a nine if not for a couple of small things here and there and well one very major issue with the movie. Still I would give it around an eight out of ten. Before I start speaking of all that is good and awesome with this movie I have got to hit the bad first and get it off my chest. First off Jared Leto's performance as the Joker is Okay at best. There is nothing extraordinary about his role, neither is there anything extraordinary about his performance. And when I say extraordinary I mean extraordinary enough to make me care for his character or its existence. In fact I wa

Spider-Man Homecoming: Many Characters, Handle It.

When in doubt, reboot the Spider-Man movie franchise. That's what's been happening over the past fourteen years or so. First there was the Tobey Maguire movies Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man 3. Yes, very creative. But truth be told the first was worth watching, the second was fine and the third was just a waste of time. Loved the black Spider-Man suit though in the third, very dark. After the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy there was the Andrew Garfield movies. In 2012 we saw the Amazing Spider-Man followed by its sequel the Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2014. The first was actually more than worth watching, it was great, the best Spider-Man movie ever made, until we see better in the future at least. But then again the sequel wasn't as great. The sequel probably was rated decently only because of how talented and how great Emma Stone is an actress. And even her character, Gwen Stacy was dead before the second movie ended. And now we have the latest reboot of S

Suits: Saved By A Prison Sentence

The USA network series has always been good. The acting is great, the story is pretty decent as well. However, there was a problem with the past couple of seasons that the show managed to work through and fix in the new and currently airing season of the series. The legal drama starring Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams, started milking the relationship between Mike Ross (Adams) and Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle) way too much as far as the couple of seasons go, shifting a lot of focus from fan favorite Harvey Specter (Macht). Not that we didn't see a lot of Harvey, and not that we didn't like the relationship between Ross and Zane, but the heart of the matter is the best romance that everyone loved about this show was the bromance going on between the two leads. At the end of its fifth season Mike Ross, the fraudulent lawyer who never went to law school had to take a deal and admit his guilt ending up with a two year jail sentence that also saved the law firm and its par

The Flash: Can Shantel VanSanten Make a return?

The Messengers, a show that aired on the CW for one season as a mid-season entry in 2015 and then got cancelled, was about an object crashing on earth, like an asteroid creating a crater. In the aftermaths of its crash, a group of unconnected strangers die from an energy pulse it emits. These six strangers come back to life only to realize that they have been deemed responsible for preventing the impending Apocalypse, they are the messengers. Sounds good? Maybe, but the show materialized into something that could be referred to as garbage at best. However, I did decide to watch the entire season consisting of 13-episodes back when it aired for one and only one reason, Shantel VanSanten. Shantel's acting in the role of Vera Buckley (one of the chosen six) was the only good thing going on for that sorry excuse for a show. Becoming Patty The following fall the very same amazing actress started portraying the character of Detective Patty Spivot on the Flash. Patty was this be

The Flash: Who Is Top

Ashley Rickards who plays the lead role on Awkward, an MTV show, will be visiting 'The Flash' TV series. She will be playing one Rosalind Dillon (Rosa) who is also known as the Top. She is definitely going to be making her debut on the show on the fourth episode of the upcoming season of the show. Weather, she will be part of more episodes is yet to be seen. In the episode she is confirmed to be first seen on the show, she will be part of the origin story of the Mirror Master whom we have posted about in detail before. In the very same episode we are also to see Captain Cold for the first time on the flash this season. We will be seeing a struggle between the Mirror Master and Captain Cold and enjoy its ups and downs before we find out who comes out of it on top. The Executive Producers of the show referred to the Top as the 'Bonnie to Mirror Master's Clyde.' What about Top in the comics? In the comic books, Top is one Roscoe Dillon, a male rather than

The Blacklist: New Trailer, Speculations & News

So NBC's the blacklist has had a new trailer for its upcoming fourth season released. The trailer which you can find below this article. The trailer is two minutes and twelve seconds long with the better of one minutes and about twenty seconds of recap of the third season but the last fifty seconds are pure fourth season stuff. We see a few scenes the most important of which is Raymond entering a room with a dimmed glass wall, sort of like an interrogation room. Alexander Kirk welcomes him, Raymond asks Liz if she is okay and she tells him she is on his left so he shoots in the direction in which Kirk is supposed to be standing on the other side of the glass. We then see Elizabeth punching Kirk followed by a few not necessarily related scenes. Then there is a scene with a human head on the table around which a bunch of Mexicans are sitting, one of them at least is a Mexican police officer. Raymond asks them who the head worked for in return for keeping 'the money'

Old Is Gold I: Frasier

Some series even though ended are going to be forever remembered. Some performances are just worth remembering. In this section of my blog I will give you some recommendations on TV series that ran through so many years and then got cancelled due to lack of viewership (not necessarily because they were not good enough) or they were just ended in terms of the story. In some posts I will also review some of the older movies, some of them I found extremely good and some of them were just some of the top movies of all time. Everything as old as the cinema industry goes will be up for grabs in these posts. You can expect me to continue adding to this section whenever I can. Today, I will be recommending one of the greatest comedy series ever made, at least in my personal opinion. Goodnight, Seattle I Love You We might not all agree to how good this show was. If you were one of the people who viewed the first couple of episodes and then gave up then you made the biggest mistake

American Gothic Season 1, Episode 8 - Spoiler Review

Here I am, bringing you another review for American Gothic. This review is for the 8th episode of the season and might contain spoilers. You have been warned. In the 8th episode of the series, we are met with another dead end until the very last moment in the episode. Most of what is going on is again sidelining us from the main supposed murder-mystery aspect of the story. Jack and his psychotic actions is still the highlight of the show. Well, Brady as well might be the very best actor the show has. Even Garrett's Enigmatic character is losing its initial finesse. Allison's strange arrangement with her husband, Tom, is becoming a part of the plot that is pathetic at best, used to dismiss characters and bring in very minute stories that are not even needed for the survival of the show. In fact, it is these kinds of side stories that makes the show fail. The show has a lot of potential if done differently. However the fickle attempts at increasing the episode count

Arrow: Who is Wild Dog

There is yet another new edition to Team Arrow in its upcoming season. We have already mentioned that Arrow is building a new team of superheroes. We shall be seeing 'Artemis', 'Wild Dog' and last but not least 'Curtis Holt' is going all 'Mr. Terrific'. I know what you are thinking, "FINALLY." It's true that Curtis has only been around for one reason but everyone has been waiting for him to turn into his expected superhero persona, 'Mister Terrific'. In the comic books Mister Terrific is Michael Holt but people have speculated that the change of name to Curtis was a diversion and it seems they were right. We will come back to him later though in another post perhaps. This post is more about one of the newer editions, Wild Dog whose alter ego on the show will be Renee Ramirez. Renee Ramirez who will become part of the Arrow Team is going to be a new vigilante who appears in Star City. His reckless and violent nature accordin

Arrow: Who Is Prometheus

As we all know, the big bad villain of the fifth season of Arrow is going to be Prometheus. So it is about time we talk a bit about who Prometheus is in the comic books. Unfortunately, there are three versions of Prometheus in the comics and hence we won't know which one the series will do or if it would do a mash-up of all three. Curt Calhoun We already mentioned him in a previous post and discussed why it would be fun to have this version on the show considering Curt is a small time criminal who worked for the supervillain Dr. Alchemy who is one of two big villains on The Flash this upcoming season. It would be really fun to be honest if you have two connected villains on both shows. It would just allow for more integration between both shows, more crossovers, more guest starring and not just of our favorite heroes but of the villains as well going from one show to the other for a visit at times. In the comics Curt and Dr. Alchemy are captured by Ted Kord (The Just

More on Arrow & Legends of Tomorrow

The news on fan favorite DC comics based Arrowverse or Flarrowverse or whatever you want to call it, keeps flooding. There has been lots of information on the CW superhero shows based on DC comic-books that I have discussed in previous posts and now we have new ones that I am about to discuss. Arrow We might have already stated that the flashbacks of the fifth season will end an era for Arrow considering that they will highlight the events of the last year before Oliver Queen went  back to Starling City after being lost and deemed dead for five years. We also know that the seasons to follow the show's fifth will look at the flashbacks of other characters and might include flashforwards into the future of the characters and specifically Oliver Queen. What some might not realize is that the producers seemed to be making this clarification among others to make sure the fans who voiced their opinions usually under the title, 'Make Arrow Great Again' would k
